Data Sharing & Tracking Disclosure (App Store Review)
1. Third-party data brokers: NailBook does NOT share any data collected by the app with third-party data brokers. No user data is sold or licensed to any third party.
2. Marketing / advertising linkage: Data collected by the app is NOT linked with third-party data for marketing or advertising purposes. The app does not engage in any advertising or marketing data sharing.
3. Cookies for tracking: When users access web content in the app, cookies are NOT collected for tracking purposes. The only non-essential cookies are first-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics and the HeyCatch product analytics SDK), which are set only after explicit user consent via the in-app cookie banner (web version only). Advertising cookies, ad personalization and Google Signals are permanently disabled, and HeyCatch session recording is disabled. No cookies are used to track users across other apps or websites. Technical cookies (session/auth) are strictly necessary and do not track users.
4. Native iOS/Android app — NO cookies collected: The native iOS and Android apps do NOT collect, set, or store any cookies whatsoever — not tracking cookies, not analytics cookies, and not even technical/session cookies. The app actively clears all cookies on launch and periodically during use. Authentication is handled via in-memory tokens (not cookies). Google Analytics and HeyCatch scripts are not loaded on native builds. The native app therefore does not engage in any tracking as defined by App Store Guideline 5.1.2(i) and does not require App Tracking Transparency permission. The cookie banner and cookie-related features described in the sections below apply only to the web version (nailbook.eu accessed via a browser), not to the native iOS/Android apps.
This Cookie Policy explains how NailBook uses cookies and similar technologies on the website and in the application, in accordance with the Italian Data Protection Authority provision no. 229/2014 and the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC).
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device when you visit them. They are used to remember preferences, keep track of sessions and improve your experience.
They are essential for the platform to work correctly. Without them the service cannot be provided.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| auth_token | Keeps the signed-in user's session active | Session / 30 days |
| nailbook_lang | Stores the language selected by the user | Persistent (localStorage) |
| cookie_consent | Stores the choice made in the cookie banner (accepted / rejected) | Persistent (localStorage) |
Technical cookies do not require user consent under Art. 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.
With your explicit consent (given in the cookie banner), NailBook uses two first-party analytics tools to collect aggregated, pseudonymous data about how the platform is used: pages visited, session duration, interaction events (clicks, taps and form submissions — never the content of what you type), device type and approximate geographic area.
Both tools are configured without advertising purposes: Google Analytics advertising features, Google Signals and audience sharing are switched off, and HeyCatch session recording (session replay) is disabled. Analytics data collected through HeyCatch is kept for as long as the service is active and for the following 2 months, after which it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Without consent, analytics cookies are not installed and no event is sent. You can change your choice at any time (see section 4).
NailBook does not currently use third-party profiling cookies for advertising purposes. Should any be introduced in the future, we will give prior notice and ask for explicit consent.
The platform relies on technical providers (hosting, payment processing) that may set their own cookies where needed to deliver their services. Those providers act as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR and are subject to their own privacy policies.
For platform analytics we rely on HeyCatch, Inc. (1111B S Governors Ave STE 59736, Dover, DE 19904, United States), which acts as a data processor under its own Data Processing Addendum and uses PostHog, Inc. (United States) as sub-processor. The analytics cookies and identifiers are set as first-party cookies on the nailbook.eu domain, so they are not used to profile you on other websites or for advertising purposes. Details: heycatch.ai/privacy.
You can manage or disable cookies at any time in your browser settings:
You can also change or withdraw your choice at any time: use the button below to re-open the banner and choose again, or clear the site data (cookies and browser local storage) for nailbook.eu — in that case the stored choice is reset and the banner appears again. Once analytics tools are switched off, no new event is collected.

Note: disabling technical cookies may affect how the platform works.
We reserve the right to update this Cookie Policy. Changes will be published on this page together with the update date.
