Data Sharing & Tracking Disclosure (App Store Review)
1. Third-party data brokers: NailBook does NOT share any data collected by the app with third-party data brokers. No user data is sold or licensed to any third party.
2. Marketing / advertising linkage: Data collected by the app is NOT linked with third-party data for marketing or advertising purposes. The app does not engage in any advertising or marketing data sharing.
3. Cookies for tracking: When users access web content in the app, cookies are NOT collected for tracking purposes. The only non-essential cookies are first-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics and the HeyCatch product analytics SDK). They are set only after explicit user consent via the in-app cookie banner (web version only). Advertising cookies, ad personalization and Google Signals are permanently disabled, and HeyCatch session recording is disabled. No cookies are used to track users across other apps or websites. Technical cookies (session/auth) are strictly necessary and do not track users. In the native iOS/Android apps analytics does not rely on cookies: see point 4.
4. Native iOS/Android app — first-party product analytics: The native iOS and Android apps collect first-party product analytics only (the HeyCatch product analytics SDK), used to understand how the app is used and to improve it. It records page and screen views, taps and product events (for example a completed sign-up), together with a pseudonymous device identifier. If you are signed in, that identifier is linked to your internal NailBook account id, name and email. Appointment content, notes, billing data and salon client data are never sent. The native apps do NOT rely on cookies for this. Cookies set in the app's embedded web view are cleared on launch and periodically during use, and authentication uses in-memory tokens rather than cookies. Google Analytics, third-party advertising or attribution SDKs, data brokers and session recording are not used in the native apps. The data is never used for advertising and never linked with third-party data. It is also never used to track users across other apps or websites. The native apps therefore do not engage in tracking as defined by App Store Guideline 5.1.2(i) and do not require App Tracking Transparency permission. The cookie banner and cookie-related features described in the sections below apply only to the web version (nailbook.eu accessed via a browser).
This Cookie Policy explains how NailBook uses cookies and similar technologies on the website and in the application. It follows the Italian Data Protection Authority provision no. 229/2014 and the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC).
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device when you visit them. They are used to remember preferences, keep track of sessions and improve your experience.
They are essential for the platform to work correctly. Without them the service cannot be provided.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| auth_token | Keeps the signed-in user's session active | Session / 30 days |
| nailbook_lang | Stores the language selected by the user | Persistent (localStorage) |
| cookie_consent | Stores the choice made in the cookie banner (accepted / rejected) | Persistent (localStorage) |
Technical cookies do not require user consent under Art. 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.
With your explicit consent (given in the cookie banner), NailBook uses two first-party analytics tools. They collect aggregated, pseudonymous data: pages visited, session duration and interaction events (clicks, taps and form submissions — never the content of what you type). We also record device type and approximate geographic area.
Both tools are configured without advertising purposes. Google Analytics advertising features, Google Signals and audience sharing are switched off. HeyCatch session recording (session replay) is disabled too. Analytics data collected through HeyCatch is kept for as long as the service is active, plus the following 2 months. After that it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Without consent, analytics cookies are not installed and no event is sent. You can change your choice at any time (see section 4).
NailBook does not currently use third-party profiling cookies for advertising purposes. Should any be introduced in the future, we will give prior notice and ask for explicit consent.
The platform relies on technical providers (hosting, payment processing) that may set their own cookies where needed to deliver their services. Those providers act as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR and are subject to their own privacy policies.
For platform analytics we rely on HeyCatch, Inc. (1111B S Governors Ave STE 59736, Dover, DE 19904, United States). HeyCatch acts as a data processor under its own Data Processing Addendum and uses PostHog, Inc. (United States) as sub-processor. The analytics cookies and identifiers are set as first-party cookies on the nailbook.eu domain. They are not used to profile you on other websites or for advertising purposes. Details: heycatch.ai/privacy.
You can manage or disable cookies at any time in your browser settings:
You can also change or withdraw your choice at any time. Use the button below to re-open the banner and choose again. Or clear the site data (cookies and browser local storage) for nailbook.eu: the stored choice is reset and the banner appears again. Once analytics tools are switched off, no new event is collected.

Note: disabling technical cookies may affect how the platform works.
We reserve the right to update this Cookie Policy. Changes will be published on this page together with the update date.
